The Antelope Valley Healthy Babies Initiative together with the AVBBC will focus on three basic program goals to address the perinatal gaps and needs in this area:
- Goal #1: Decrease the incidence of African-American infant mortality in the Antelope Valley
- Goal #2: Increase the knowledge, and positively impact attitudes, beliefs and practices among at-risk women living in Antelope Valley regarding women and infant health
- Goal #3: Reduce health disparities and increase access to healthcare while improving the quality of perinatal care services for families in the Antelope Valley
